About Me

My name is Luvia, owner of Wax with Luv. Thank you for visiting my page and supporting my small business! I would like to share a little about myself and my background. 

Well being the social butterfly that I am, and how much I love making people look and feel good, I decided to enroll at ITS Academy of Beauty & Aesthetics in 2009 and become a licensed esthetician. I found a local wax business in Dallas, TX where I was able to specialize in full body waxing and perfect my skills. 

After gaining 10 years of waxing experience and building my clientele, God revealed it was time to go independent and pursue my dream of owning my own personal wax studio. I took a leap of faith and I opened Wax with Luv on June 8th, 2020 during a world pandemic! Kind of crazy, huh? Without a doubt, it has been the best decision I've ever made. 

My parents immigrated to the U.S. from Mexico in the early 70's. They both worked tirelessly for many years and established themselves as entrepreneurs as well. I learned my hard work ethic from the both of them and was destined to continue in those same footsteps. They have been my greatest role models and inspiration to date. Thank you, Mom & Dad!

Aside from my love for waxing, I come from a big, fun-loving and God-fearing family. I am a mother of two beautiful girls and am married to the man of my dreams. I love working out, playing sports, dancing, foodie, comedy & enjoying all of life's outdoor and wild adventures. 

I'm grateful I chose this career path! This journey has been so rewarding and a lot of fun. I've met so many awesome and beautiful souls who have become great friends along the way!
